These terms govern the use of this website and the purchase of anything sold through it. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About the business
This website is operated by Paul Harris, a sole trader, trading as Glavind Strachan Photography ("I", "me", "my").
Address: Little Spring, Higher Gorhuish, Northlew, Devon EX20 3BT, England

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
2. Using this website
Please use the site lawfully and in a way that does not infringe anyone's rights or restrict their use of it. Do not introduce malicious material, attempt unauthorised access, or copy content without permission. I may restrict access where necessary.
3. Copyright
All photographs, text and other content on this site are my intellectual property unless stated otherwise, and are protected by UK and international copyright law. Without my prior written permission you may not download images for commercial use, reproduce, distribute, modify or publish them, or use them for marketing, AI training or any commercial purpose. Unauthorised commercial use may lead to licensing fees and legal action.
You are welcome to share my work for non-commercial purposes if the image is not altered and you give full credit and a link to this website.
4. What is sold
This website sells fine art photographic prints, unframed and framed. I also offer guided walks, portrait sessions and commissioned photography, which are arranged directly with me. Descriptions and pictures are as accurate as I can make them, but colours can vary slightly between screens and in print.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling. I am not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. Delivery to the UK mainland is included in the price shown. Payment is taken in full when you order, by card and wallet payments through Stripe. I never see or store your card details. I may correct a pricing error before an order is confirmed, and if I do, you will be offered a full refund.
6. Forming a contract
A contract is formed when you receive my order confirmation email after successful payment. I may decline or cancel an order, for example because of a pricing error or a problem with the print, in which case you will be refunded in full.
7. Making and delivering your print
Each print is made to order by Prodigi, a professional print lab, and posted to you. Allow about 5 to 7 working days for production and delivery. This is an estimate, not a promise. I deliver within the UK only. I am not responsible for delays outside my reasonable control, but if your order is late please contact me and I will chase it. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered.
8. Returns and refunds
If you change your mind
If you are buying as a consumer, you have the right to cancel an order for any reason within 14 days of the goods arriving. Tell me in writing (an email is fine; you can say simply "I wish to cancel my order, number ..."). You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back. I will refund the price and the standard delivery cost within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or of receiving proof that you have sent them).
If you change your mind, you pay the postage to send the print back. Please pack it carefully: you are responsible for it until it reaches me.
The right to cancel does not apply to goods made to your own specification, such as a custom size or a crop you asked for, or to commissioned work. Prints in my standard sizes, papers and frame colours are not covered by this exception.
If something is faulty or damaged
If a print arrives damaged, or is faulty or not as described, please tell me as soon as you can, with a photo. A photo within 7 days of delivery is a friendly request, not a limit. I will send a replacement or refund you, whichever you prefer, and I pay for the return postage and the replacement.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights. These include the right to reject faulty goods within 30 days, and to a repair or replacement for up to six months.
9. Walks, workshops and photography services
Walks and sessions may be rescheduled because of unsafe weather or unforeseen circumstances, and you will be offered another date or a refund if one cannot go ahead. Cancellations more than 14 full days before the date receive a full refund or a rebooking credit; closer to the date, the terms agreed when you booked apply. If you do not turn up on the day, the outstanding amount is still due.
You are responsible for your own clothing, equipment, personal insurance and for following safety instructions. I take reasonable care when planning routes and assessing conditions, but Dartmoor is a natural environment and some risk remains. People under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult unless we have agreed otherwise beforehand. Please tell me in advance about any health or mobility issues so I can plan a suitable route.
Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers can be put towards any walk, portrait session, workshop or other photography service, and do not expire. You may cancel an unused voucher for a full refund within 14 days of buying it. After that they are not refundable, but they can be transferred to someone else, and any unused balance remains valid. If I ever stop offering sessions I will refund the unused balance in full. Physical vouchers are sent by tracked, signed-for post; digital vouchers are sent by email. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
10. Limit of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes my liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be excluded. Otherwise, and as far as the law allows, my total liability for any purchase is limited to the price you paid for it, and I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
11. The website itself
I aim to keep the site available and accurate, but I cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free content, and content may change or be removed without notice. Links to other websites are provided for interest; I am not responsible for what they contain. I am not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond my reasonable control, including severe weather, illness, transport disruption or technical failure.
12. Your data
How I handle your personal information is explained in the privacy notice.
13. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with its date at the top. The version in force when you order is the one that applies to your order.
