Great Links Tor Shrouded in Mist - Free Dartmoor Photograph

£0.00

What started as a fairly clear winters day on the moor, soon became a little more exciting, once the snow had started to fall 😁

We’d climbed up Great Nodden (or Plum Pudding Hill to the locals) and were treated to an amazing display of sleet, snow and low cloud … captured a number of wonderful shots from around the base of the hill, looking up towards Little Links and it’s big sister 😍

Free image to download - probably print out ok if you don’t want it too large, or maybe think about buying a print?

Free Digital Download of My Dartmoor Photographs

Here’s the deal, no bugger wants to buy my work because almost nobody gets to see it, and social media is now optimised purely to line the pockets of the uber rich and promote only the products/services/art of those who already are financially comfortably off.

So, have my work.

What’s the catch? There are a few, but fundamentally you’ll be getting a nice photograph of Dartmoor all for yourself, and for free.

Requirements From You

I only ask that you download through the shop (so I get your email address) and that you credit me when you use the image - it’s not a lot to ask, and an actual link back to my website either directly before, or directly after the image you use is required. I’m not a monster, if the design of your page means adding a link messes up the aesthetics of the page … put the link at the top or bottom of the page

If I find anybody using my images without a credit, I will contact you and give you fair warning before besmirching you as much as I see fit, both online and in public for being a total bastard.

By downloading my images you are agreeing to credit me for my work and if you then choose not to do so, you are agreeing to being labelled a total asshole and giving me permission to shame you mercilessly.

If you are well enough off to have paid me for using my images and you use the free images anyway, I reserve the right (even if you do credit my work) to call you out.

I don’t think it’s much to ask for somebody to link to my work if they use my work - the amount of times I find people using my images without even asking is amazing … there are still people out there, who I took photographs for, gratis, who still don’t credit me.

For Fuck’s sake … who the hell do people think they are?

There are still people who make the tiniest attempt to credit me for my work and still sleep at night.

If it’s so easy to take photographs then do it yourself!

I bet you want me to add a link to your crumby website or your self indulgent social media, but won’t hesitate to use plain text when referencing mine.

There’s this thing called etiquette, and in the real world it gets you a long way - it used to online, not so much today. What’s even more ridiculous is reciprocal links are actually great for mutual exposure. Dimwits!

I’m well aware my work is an acquired taste and I don’t expect to ever be the talk of the town. I don’t produce nice chocolate box images of Dartmoor, nor do I pander to the crowd all I ask is a little respect … I detest the internet and social media, it’s become everything that is expected of the underbelly of humankind … prove me wrong and credit my work (or, even better make a donation if you use my stuff!)

Restrictions

(though I doubt any the self centred jackasses will have read this far)

You cannot sell my images.

You cannot use my images to create other artworks that you then sell.

You cannot give my images to others, you have to get them to download them from my website.

You cannot use any of my images to train AI.

You cannot post my images on other websites for download, you may only link to this website.

This idea is a work in progress and I reserve the right to add further restrictions whenever I please 🤣
